Our Experience.
Two experienced coastal real estate brokers, Hanne Liisberg & Dan Kalinoski, subscribe to the following: the entire company works as a team to better serve our clients every day of the year, provide seamless marketing and sales services with every real estate transaction, focus our advertising on state of the art graphic work complemented by the internet, and serve the public, as Realtors, with the highest degree of professional abilities and ethics in our striving for excellence.
Liisberg & Kalinoski each bring years of varied business experience to the company. While on the top of their profession, as real estate associates with a local Coldwell Banker franchise, they individually decided they needed to take their business to the next level and we are proud of the result. The broker team of Liisberg & Kalinoski opened the The Coastal Real Estate Company in September 2007 at the new Seawatch Building in Gualala. Simultaneously, we opened a satellite office on The Sea Ranch next to a very popular Sea Ranch institution: The Two Fish Baking Company. While our business is focused from our main office in Gualala, we are able to service Sea Ranch locals and visitors as they are enjoying fresh baked good from the best bakery for miles.
Liisberg and Kalinoski decided early on in the planning stages, they did not want to model their agency like any other. Most real estate offices are structured to have their agents compete among themselves, yet appear to be one happy family. Sometimes that is far from the truth, to the detriment of the client. At The Coastal Real Estate Company our basic underlying principle is teamwork and we mean just that. Clients may identify and want to work with a particular agent in our company (see our agents below), but the team is ALWAYS there to take care of urgent, time sensitive items and lending the support required to promote a smooth buying or selling experience.
Advertising and marketing is state of the art and always top quality. Printed marketing materials, presentations and our footprint in cyberspace are leading our company. The Team:
Hanne Liisberg, Broker/Owner/Realtor. Service above Self. That is the motto and motivation behind Rotary International and a goal in Hanne’s real estate practice. Coming to the coast from a background in business, real estate law and commercial development in The Bay Area and internationally, Hanne has enjoyed living on this part of the California Coast for 14+ years. With a Danish Juris Doctor, a US Masters in International and Comparative law on a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship, an entrepreneurial spirit and a love of architecture, design and the ocean, helping coastal buyers and sellers fulfill their real estate dreams and goals, is her mission. After 9 years as a top agent for the local Coldwell Banker office, Hanne is taking her mission to the next level. Hanne is past-president of the Gualala Rotary Club 2002-2003, active in local organizations and finds time to sail on The San Francisco Bay from the Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon. Hanne is married to fellow Dane, Henrik Liisberg, a Designer of renown, who uses his talents to the benefit of The Coastal Real Estate Company.
Dan Kalinoski, Broker/Owner/Realtor. Dan graduated in 1980 from the West Virginia School of Pharmacy and practiced pharmacy for 18 years in Orlando, Florida. He and his wife Barbara looked to broaden their horizon by selling their lakefront home, leaving their careers, and switching coasts to settle into what they consider to be one of the best locations to live in the country. The climate, the clean air, the friendly people and the haunting pristine beauty were magnets drawing them to the area. They have both thrived in this environment with successful businesses being just one sign of that. Barbara is the owner of Handcrafted Interiors, the premier company for custom work in all things fabric, which can be seen in our offices.
After 18 years of retail pharmacy management, Dan decided to exchange those people skills into another people profession……helping people locate and/or sell their properties. Having made the move himself, he had a special insight into the challenges, rewards, and nuances of moving to this remote area. Rest assured Dan can assist you with making some of those difficult decisions and some of the possible repercussions and many rewards they may bring.
Steve Carnes, Agent/Realtor
The Coastal Real Estate Company is thrilled to have Steve Carnes join our team in March 2008. Steve adopted us as his new home due in part to the team concept of which our company is based. We are delighted to have such a comsumate professional who has a gifted ability to make everyone in the room feel right at home.
